History:

Anna is the daughter of Nezabudka, the incarnation of Spring, and the granddaughter of Ded Moroz (or Jack Frost, Father Frost or "Russian Santa Claus"), and her father was a shepherd named Ivanushka. When she was younger, she loved a shepherd boy named Fedyenka Osokin, and he loved to sing to her and play music and she loved to listen to him play. One day, she decided that she would tell him that she loved him, and her heart swelled from it as they sat around a fire near her home in the wood.

But, when she leapt over the fire in order to proclaim her love for him, all of the ice in her veins melted and she very nearly died. In fact, she would have died, if not for her Grandfather and a deal that he made with her mother. The deal goes as so:

In the winter months, Anna will help her grandfather deliver gifts to the children of their world, and ensure that he does not succumb to the temptations given to him by his darker impulses and eat them all.

Anna's blood is still made of ice water, and in the fall she sleeps in the cabin on the banks of the lake near her home or even on the banks themselves. At this point of the year, she is watched over by the wolves that are her cousins. In the Spring and the summer, she takes turns guarding the forests of Vologda Oblast from the witch Baba Yaga with the boy who melted her heart.

At least until he left on his own journey, and she in turn met a strange looking alien man who offered her a contract.

Personality:

Despite the ice in her veins, Anna is actually very kind. She would really have to be, in order to keep her grandfather from eating all of those children, in order to care for the forests of Vologda Oblast. Love, she believes, will be difficult considering what happened the last time she fell in love. Even when she guarded the forest, side by side with the man she loved she worried that what had happened to her would happen again.

And she worried about what that sort of thing would do to him. It's sort of why he left, after a long while. Despite this, she yearns for human companionship, which is part of the reason she even signed this contract.

Companionship is difficult to come by, given that she has a partial emotional connection to her abilities and that can at time affect her in physical ways. For instance, the mentioned event where falling in love melted the ice in her heart and veins and caused her to nearly die. This is something that her grandfather, for the most part, managed to fix when he fixed her, but the idea that it could happen again still frightens her.

She isn't traditionally booksmart, but she's not a stupid girl. She learned how to herd sheep from her lost love and farming techniques from her father. She knows how to bake, and to make chocolates.

Anna has dark hair, dark eyes, and very pale skin. In the winter months, her hair has fine filaments of snow and frost and ice in it. Her fingernails are naturally pale and blue, and the closer to winter it gets the more she starts to resemble someone with a very strange case of hypothermia.

When performing her duties with her grandfather, she has many different official outfits. All of them intricate in some way or another. A few examples are here. In the fall, her clothes are similar to dead leaves. They feel like them. In the spring and summer, they are like the things that grow then. In the winter, she tends to wear winter-time clothes, even if it is very warm. SHE is not very warm.

And, of course, she has control over snow, frost and ice.

Why do you think your character would work in this setting? Why did your character accept Eli's offer? How will they respond to the setting? Will they interact well with others?

She may end up only staying a month or so, depending on whether or not her abilities are used. I had this idea that maybe she'd accepted a contract with one of the other experiments, and ended up in New Dodge instead. That she'd stay until she decided if she wanted to alert APS to the mistake or not.

What will your character do for work?
She will work as a chocolatier.

Hello, hello. My name is Anna, I suppose that you could say that I'm new here, seeing as I've just arrived on the shuttle and all of that. I've come to run the chocolate shop, though I do wonder if there is much call for that sort of thing. Can someone tell me more about this place? I...worry that what Eli told me was not entirely truthful, especially after having read over past TC announcements.
